2007 – THE HERMITAGE CLINIC
In early 2007 Debbie was asked by the founder of The Blackrock Clinic, James Sheehan, to produce a series of paintings for his new private hospital, The Hermitage Clinic, in West Dublin. The Hermitage Clinic was officially opened on April 16th 2007 by then Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.

The commission was completed in two parts over the first 5 months of the year. The first was a series of 5 x 150cm x 120cm paintings, ‘Evolution’ that represented the evolution of a patient through the recovery process. The goal was to produce something that had a positive effect on the hospital’s visitors and patients.

Also completed were 3 x 2m x 2m pieces for a cafe area upstairs and again the images are uplifting and represent wellness of being, hope and joy.
